Uttarakhand Science Education and Research Center (USERC) in Dehradun launched a five-day “Skill Development Training Program on Fundamentals of Molecular Biology”

On January 20, 2025, the Uttarakhand Science Education and Research Center (USERC) in Dehradun launched a five-day “Skill Development Training Program on Fundamentals of Molecular Biology” for students from higher educational institutions across Uttarakhand. Organized in collaboration with Techgene Institute, the program aims to enhance students’ entrepreneurial skills by providing them with foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in molecular biology research.

The training, which includes participants from B.Sc. and M.Sc. Biology programs, will help students develop scientific expertise and increase their interest in research. Prof. (Dr.) Anita Rawat, Director of USERC, emphasized that this initiative is crucial for skill development, especially for students in Uttarakhand’s border areas, and highlighted its focus on a capacity-building, learner-centric approach. The program involves 20 students from institutions in Augustmuni, Gopeshwar, Haldwani, Kotdwar, and Kashipur.
