About ITDA
Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA)
The Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) is the nodal agency for implementing IT and e-Governance initiatives in Uttarakhand. It operates under the Department of Information Technology, Good Governance, and Science & Technology, Government of Uttarakhand.
It is established to guide and monitor various Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects. Its mission is to achieve the goal of Digital Uttarakhand by implementing efficient, service-oriented, and cost-effective information networks. ITDA aims to improve the quality of life for citizens by accelerating social and economic development and ensuring transparency in government decisions.
Key Functions of ITDA:
- e-Governance Implementation
- Developing and managing digital platforms for citizen services, online governance, and automation of government processes.
- Implementation of State Wide Area Network (SWAN), State Data Center (SDC), and e-District services to ensure seamless digital communication and service delivery.
- IT Ecosystem Development
- Building IT ecosystem for secure data management, cloud computing, and high-speed connectivity for government departments.
- Managing Digital India initiatives in Uttarakhand.
- Cybersecurity & Data Protection
- Ensuring data security, privacy, and protection of government databases.
- Implementing cybersecurity awareness programs.
- Capacity Building & IT Training
- Conducting training programs for government officials, IT professionals, and citizens to enhance digital literacy.
- Encouraging skill development programs in emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, and cloud computing.
- Key IT & e-Governance Projects
- UKSWAN (Uttarakhand State Wide Area Network) – Provides secure connectivity for government offices across the state.
- Unnati Portal – A project monitoring system for tracking pending government proposals.
- e-Gatepass System – A cloud-based solution for managing visitor appointments.
- Aadhaar Enrollment & Digital Identity Management – Facilitating Aadhaar registration and authentication.
- PM GatiShakti Implementation – Supporting infrastructure planning through a GIS-based platform.
